Picnik, On its Final Day...

Picnik, On its Final Day...
Picnik is the only online photo editing site I know since I started in the world wide web just 2 years ago (purely late-bloomer). And now, Picnik is taking its bow to everyone today April 19 as we stated last January, Official: Picnik Is Closing.
So how Picnik helped me in last 2 years? Honestly, this site is the place-to-be if I want to edit my photos because I don't have any skill in any software that time until my friend suggested this site to me.

Because of being a noob in computer that, Picnik played a big part in my project. I used this for our web page project, group wen page, profile pictures and other works that needs a simple edits.
Why is Picnik closing?

Since joining Google in 2010, the Picnik team has been working on Picnik while helping to create photo editing magic in Google’s products. But now we get to focus on even awesomer things. Picnik will be closing its doors on April 19, 2012. Below you’ll find some frequently asked questions to help you through the shutdown process. If your question isn’t answered, visit the Forum to get more help.
By the way, here is the message of Picnik sent to me last week:
Important Picnik Announcement

As we announced earlier this year, Picnik is closing on April 19th, 2012. After that date, you will no longer be able to access Picnik, nor send or receive photos between third party services and Picnik. In other words, if you visit us after the 19th, we won't be home.

We want to express how fortunate and proud we are to have worked on Picnik and we wish you many happy edits in the future. To help you in this endeavor may we suggest visiting Google+, PicMonkey.com or Aviary.com.

If you'd like to keep the photos from your Picnik history, Recently Uploaded, or Shows, we strongly recommend you take action on or before April 19th to download them. We've made a handy little tool to do this called Picnik Takeout.

  • From Picnik.com click the button on the home page titled "Picnik Takeout"
  • Follow the instructions for creating a zip file of your treasures
  • When the zip is ready, just download the zip to your computer
  • Open the zip file to save your images to your computer.
  • Done

If your photos are already stored elsewhere, on your computer or a photo storage site, they will remain there and no further action is required.

For more information, see our frequently asked questions.

It's been amazing,

Team Picnik

Please allow me to thank the Team Picnik for being part of our virtual world and for always staying there if we need a ready-made online photo editing. Wishing you a better product soon as you upgrade and update your service with other.
